Grass Parakeets (Neophema)
Blue-winged Grass Parakeet or Blue-winged Parrot (Neophema chrysostoma) - Range: Native to Tasmania, where they breed in spring and summer, and southeast Australia, where many of them winter. The flock size ranges from pairs in breeding season to up to 2,000 birds just before autumn migration.
Orange-bellied Parrots - Range: Coastal areas of Tasmania. Overwinters along the coast of southeast Australia. Visits several offshore islands in Bass Strait. Formerly could be found near Sydney, New South Wales.
Scarlet-chested Parakeet - Range: Southern Australia from extreme southwest Queensland, western new South Wales and northwest Victoria to southeast Western Australia.
Turquoisine Parakeets - Range: Southern Australia from extreme southwest Queensland, western New South Wales and northwest Victoria to southeast Western Australia.
