Many people having to deal with mite infestations in their homes found Cedarcide (below) very helpful (do not use around birds!). For some reason the product can't be shipped to California. Maybe you can get it at a local store. I would check Home Depot or any venue ... Epsom Salt (available at any grocery store - follow link for instructions) and even good ol' Windex brought on great relief for many people ... If your problems are stinging / biting insects, such as mosquitos, Leweys (below) is highly rated as a non-toxic and effective alternative to Deeds.
