Hatchmaker R - Reptile Incubator - long-standing class leaders in reptile incubation technology. These incubators offer an unbeatable combination of reliability, longevity, simplicity and value for money. The natural convection system in this still air incubator range provides near ideal conditions for hatching and is flexible and easy to use.

Reptile eggs require particular conditions to hatch successfully and we can now provide the equipment needed to precisely match the needs of reptile breeders, providing optimal iIncubation conditions for reptiles.

Hatchmaker, Hatchmaster, Polyhatch

Reptiles eggs develop best in warm humid conditions and buried in a clean, absorbent material.

Vermiculite, supplied with the incubator, half fills the inner chamber and is soaked in water.

Reptile IncubatorThe Hatchmaker R is a dedicated reptile incubator that will provide optimal conditions for reptile eggs.

Unlike bird's eggs, reptile eggs must not be turned. The very long incubation periods for many reptiles can cause problems with hygiene allowing bacteria to grow in the warm humid environment.

The Hatchmaker R has been developed to provide optimal conditions in a complete product that is also safe and reliable; and comes complete with detailed instructions for the novice reptile breeder.

The incubator cabinet is tough and well insulated with an observation window:

  • Temperature control is provided by proven proportional electronic system which gives very accurate and stable control unaffected by voltage variations and changes in barometric pressure.
    • Temperature control can affect the sex of the hatchlings as well as the number that successfully hatch and so must be consistent, stable and accurately controllable.
    • Temperature adjustment is made by turning an externally mounted spindle. This multi-turn device allows very fine adjustment of temperature and is not easily turned accidentally.
    • The incubation thermometer fits into the lid of the inner chamber and can be viewed through the cabinet window without disturbing the eggs.

  • Humidity: Reptile eggs absorb moisture during incubation (unlike bird's eggs) and require very high humidity levels to prevent dehydration.
    • Inside is the removable, purpose designed reptilian egg chamber which is almost sealed and allows the eggs to be maintained at virtually 100% humidity.
    • Condensation will not form on the inside of the lid of the chamber while the incubator is in use - preventing drips falling on the incubating eggs.

  • Each machine is moulded from integrally skinned structural polyurethane which has a core of thermal insulation and hard, durable, impervious surfaces making it readily washable and tough enough to withstand scrubbing.
    • Polyurethane is amongst the toughest of plastics and must not be confused with cheap, fragile alternatives like expanded polystyrene. The excellent thermal properties of polyurethane foam result in low heat losses and low power consumption.
    • The inner chamber is formed from clear plastic and is easily cleaned.

  • The removable purpose designed reptile egg chamber which locates within the incubator base is almost sealed and allows the eggs to be maintained at virtually 100% humidity. It is designed so that condensation will not form on the inside of the lid of the chamber while the incubator is in use preventing drips falling on the incubating eggs.
    • The inner chamber is formed from clear plastic and is easily cleaned.

  • Oxygen supply to the chamber is regulated by a simple vent control.

  • The natural convection system in this adapted still air incubator provides ideal conditions for hatching reptiles and is

  • Vermiculite, supplied with the incubator, half fills the inner chamber and is soaked in water. The eggs are then part buried in the vermiculite.
