The White-bellied Goshawk (Accipiter haplochrous) is also known as the New Caledonia Sparrowhawk.
This bird of prey is a scarce endemic in the protected areas of New Caledonia, where it occurs in subtropical or tropical moist lowland forests or montanes, dry savanna, and heavily degraded former forest.
This species is threatened by habitat loss.
